Annual Renewal for Current Pack Members

For the 2023-24 Season the BSA has announced changes the registration and re-chartering process. This will NOT AFFECT currently registered Scouts this Fall, but your renewal will move ONLINE next year. We will have more details on annual renewal for next season by May 2024.

Registration for the coming season requires:

1. Turning in a BSA Health Form Parts A&B for your Scout 

   1. These need to be printed hard copies (on paper) and require a wet signature (sign with blue or black ink please); while we encourage you to use the Adobe form filler before printing, we cannot accept electronic copies or electronic signatures.

      • Three Key Pieces of information you'll need:  Unit Leader, Karen Andresen (for this form); Karen's Number (617-290-7310); council #, 227, Unit #100.

      • Sign Page A

      • Sign Page B2, the medications section, if you don't wish your child to receive any medications, mark no and don't list any medications 

   2. Please attach a copy of your insurance card front and back to the medical form.

   3. Three  options for turning them in:

      • Mail to Karen Andresen - 7 Sycamore, Westford MA 01886

      • Drop at same address

      • Hand them off to your den leader who'll get them to Karen

2. Paying fees & Dues 

   1. National fees for 2023 are $80 (effective June 2023) - These fees help cover the cost of essential services including program resources, enhanced background checks, and liability insurance. As of 2023, National is no longer pro-rating annual membership and you will be responsible for renewing your registration with the BSA on your anniversary date.

   2. Council's Adventure Card $48 (effective August 1, 2022) -  Provides local administration and gives us access to camps!

   3. Pack 100 Dues $50 (no change) - This was voted upon at the Sept. 2020 Committee Meeting.  

      • In June 2023, the Committee decided that Pack dues would not change for this current year.

      • This fee covers 3 core Pack 100 costs; awards, Pinewood Derby Kits and Cubmobile.  

   4. Optional Scout Life Magazine $15 (no increase this year) - Isaac's boys love it, especially the comics and jokes in the back (one per family is recommended)

If you add up the fees listed above, your total is $193. If you do not wish to  receive Scout Life magazine, please subtract $15, and your fee is $178. If you have have multiple Scouts in your family, please multiply the total by the number of Scouts you are re-registering. Note: siblings that are brand-new to Scouting will need to register online through the BSA as new members before they will appear on the Pack 100 roster. Please follow the directions on the How to Join page.

The preferred method to pay dues to the Pack is by personal check payable to "Westford Pack 100" (mail them or turn them in with your medical forms).  Please include the names of all Scouts for whom you are paying dues on the memo line of your personal check.
